Purpose

The Student Success Grant is offered to Indigenous students to assist with the cost of activities designed to complement studies or essential supplies needed to undertake studies successfully.

Students may apply for the grant to assist with the following:

  • Purchase essential study supplies (e.g. textbooks, stationery, laptop, course software, equipment etc.)
  • Attend conferences and/or workshops to complement studies

Basic eligibility

Are you of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, do you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and are you accepted as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which you live, or formerly lived
Have you provided proof or confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage to Murrup Barak?

Are you enrolled in an undergraduate degree
Have you incurred or are you due to incur study related cost?
The grant will not cover expenses that are not study related, including: holidays, repayment of bills or debts including credit cards or loan debts, purchasing vehicles, housing bonds, rent or residential college fees, fines or penalties, clothing or apparel, or medical expenses.

Ineligible (Not Applicable)

This section is not applicable because of your response to questions:

  • "Are you of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, do you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and are you accepted as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which you live, or formerly lived" on page 1
  • "Have you provided proof or confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage to Murrup Barak?" on page 1
  • "Are you enrolled in an undergraduate degree" on page 1
  • "Have you incurred or are you due to incur study related cost?" on page 1

You do not meet one or more eligibility requirements and will not be considered for this grant.
