- Before filling out this application form, it is critically important that you read and understand the Eligibility Requirements and Selection Criteria of the Hansen Scholarship Program and be eligible to apply. You must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and be enrolled in an Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in Australia; or
- have applied for or be the holder of an Australian temporary or permanent protection visa, and be enrolled in an Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in Australia; or
- be an Australian citizen and be enrolled in an Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate outside Australia.
- be aged between 16 and 20 years of age in the year of application
- be on track to achieve a minimum Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 90 (or the IB equivalent)
- experience financial circumstances that present a challenge to attending The University of Melbourne (you or your family receive Commonwealth Income Support / Centrelink). Not applicable to applicants who have applied for or are a holder of an Australian temporary or permanent protection visa.

Academic Reference
As part of this application, you will need to provide the contact details of your preferred teacher, year 11 or 12 coordinator or principal, who will be contacted by Hansen Scholarship Program Staff for an Academic Reference. We recommend you speak to your chosen referee about your intention to apply for the Hansen Scholarship Program as soon as possible to ensure they have adequate time to prepare their endorsement. The information provided in their statement is to verify your academic achievement and likelihood of reaching an ATAR of at least 90 (or IB equivalent).
You are required to provide your most recent school report as part of this application. Your application will not be considered if you do not include your school report.
