Introduction

The Fay Marles Scholarship is available to students who intend to undertake a research degree and who whose ability to study is being affected by compassionate or compelling circumstances. 

You will also be considered for the Frederick Blake Shepherd Scholarship. 

Before you complete this application form, please read the eligibility and selection criteria for each scholarship. See: Fay Marles Scholarship

You will be asked to provide short statements about your personal circumstances and relevant supporting documentation (such as a Centrelink statement or medical certificates).

Basic Eligibility

Have you applied for or are you currently enrolled in a graduate research course at the University of Melbourne? * Required
i.e. Master by research or Doctor of Philosophy.
Are there compassionate or compelling circumstances that have adversely affected your ability to study? * Required

Ineligible (Not Applicable)

This section is not applicable because of your response to questions:

  • "Have you applied for or are you currently enrolled in a graduate research course at the University of Melbourne?" on page 1
  • "Are there compassionate or compelling circumstances that have adversely affected your ability to study?" on page 1

You do not meet one or more of the eligibility criteria and will not be considered for the Fay Marles Scholarship or Frederick Blake Shepherd Scholarship.
